Wellbeing Allotment Lowestoft

(10:30-1pm every session (excluding rainy days & bank holidays) – Mondays between April & October)

The St Margarets Road Allotment will be open on Mondays between April and October from 10:30am-1pm (excluding rainy days and bank holidays). The allotment will be open to people aged 16 & over. 

Enjoy a relaxed informal setting with like-minded people. No skills necessary, just an interest in gardening will do. Allotment may sometimes be Ambassador led. There are no toilets on site.

Women Like Me – First Steps Computer Course for Women

(10-12:30pm every session – 4th, 11th, 18th, 25th October 2019 & 1st & 8th November 2019)

Do you want to feel confident using a computer? Have you always wanted to set up your own Facebook profile page? Would you like to know how to send an e-mail to your friends or family? Could you do with a little help to learn how to ‘surf the net’? 

Then why not turn those questions into answers by joining Women Like Me’s next step-by-step 6 week women’s only computer course. Which starts Friday 4th October 2019 at 10-12:30pm.

Suffolk Family Carers’ Family Drop-In Sessions

(10-2:30pm every session – 19th September, 10th & 31st October, 21st November & 12th December 2019)

Suffolk Family Carers are holding regular drop-in sessions at Turning Point Lowestoft, to help guide you with the challenges of having a drug or alcohol user in your family. 

Come in and talk with Natasha the Family Support Worker for:

  • Basic Information & Advice
  • Registration with Suffolk Family Carers 
  • Referral onto our Family Support Programme
  • Signposting to other Agencies

Norfolk & Waveney Mind’s Women’s Group 

(11-1pm every session – 2nd & 23rd September, 14th October, 4th & 25th November & 16th December 2019)

Join Norfolk & Waveney Mind for their Women’s Group which is a friendly, informal group for social time in a comfortable atmosphere. Food and beverages will be available to purchase.

OneLife Suffolk’s NHS Health Checks

(12:30-7:30pm every session – 19th September, 24th October, 28th November 2019)

If you are aged between 40-74 years of age OneLife Suffolk could offer you a FREE NHS Health Check, including a blood pressure and cholestrol check to assess your general health and risk of diseases such as stroke, diabetes and heart disease.

The access criteria for the health checks is:

  • That you are aged between 40-74 years of age
  • Not had an NHS Health Check in the last 5 years

No current diagnosis of heart disease, high blood pressure, high cholestrol, diabetes, stroke, kidney disease or vascular dementia.
